Terms of Service

You must be a parent or guardian at least 18 years old, in the United States or Canada, with a valid shipping address in one of those countries. You hold the account. Your child is a record on it, not a user.

Cardinea is a monthly manga subscription. Each month we send one manga chosen for your reader, along with a note written to the kid and a parent card for you. The picks are curated by real kids and reviewed by an adult before they ship.

• Monthly is billed every month until you cancel.
• Annual is billed once a year and covers twelve monthly boxes.
• Gift, three months is a single payment for three boxes. It does not renew. When the three boxes are done, it simply stops.

Prices are shown at checkout in United States or Canadian dollars, and any applicable tax is added there. Payment is handled by Stripe. By starting a monthly or annual plan you authorize Cardinea, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can pause or cancel any time from your account, with no call and no email needed. Cancelling stops future charges. Boxes you have already paid for continue through the period you paid for. Because each box is curated and shipped for a specific reader, we do not refund a box that has already shipped, but if something is wrong with an order, write to us and we will make it right.

We ship within the United States and Canada only, to a domestic address in your country, once a month. If a box arrives damaged or does not arrive, contact us at Robert@cardinea.ai and we will help.

We curate for the reader's group and an adult reviews every pick. Some titles are written for older readers, and the parent card in each box states the age rating and the themes so you always know what is inside. You decide what is right for your child.

Cardinea is for your family's personal use, not for reselling. Please do not misuse the site or try to interfere with how it works. Keep your sign in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

The site, the curator notes, and our other materials belong to Cardinea or the people we license them from. The manga books themselves belong to their publishers. Please do not copy our content.

We may change the plans, the prices, or the service over time. If we change a price for your plan, we will let you know first, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.

We work hard to make Cardinea good, but we provide it as is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, Cardinea is not liable for indirect or unexpected losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules.

If we change these terms we will post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use Cardinea after that means you accept the change.
